
In Lahore, at least fourteen children lost their lives and several others injured after the roof of a tuition centre collapsed in the Kahna area today.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident and launched a search and rescue operation.
The deceased and injured children were shifted to a nearby hospital, where the injured are receiving medical treatment.
President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the tragic roof collapse of a tuition centre in the Kahna area of Lahore.
In a statement today, he prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the children who died in the accident, patience for the bereaved families, and a speedy and complete recovery of the injured.
Asif Ali Zardari said effective safety measures are indispensable to prevent such tragedies in the future.
Meanwhile, in a statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the incident.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has also expressed deep sorrow over the roof collapse incident in the Kahna area of Lahore.
In a post on X, he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and the speedy recovery of those injured.
