Benazir Income Support Programme will launch a new payment system for its beneficiaries next month.

Addressing media at the BISP Headquarters in Islamabad, Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program Senator Rubina Khalid said under the pilot phase of the new payment system, being launched on 13th of next month, the bank accounts of beneficiaries are being opened in major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, and Peshawar.

She said these bank accounts will allow women to access funds independently, and efforts are also underway to introduce digital wallet options in the near future.
