In Iraq, at least thirty people have been killed and over three hundred others injured in fierce clashes in Baghdad.
According to media report, the clashes erupted when influential Iraqi leader Muqtada Al-Sadr announced to quit politics.
A mob consisting of a huge number of protestors loyal to Muqtada Al Sadr stormed the government palace and clashed with security forces in the Green Zone.
Meanwhile, Iraq's military imposed a nationwide curfew.
More protesters are joining the confrontations inside the Green Zone, with no sign of the violence abating.
Meanwhile, United Nations and Organization of Islamic Cooperation have urged all Iraqi parties involved in the conflict to exercise self-restraint, stop violence to save innocent lives.
In a statement, Spokesperson of the UN Secretary-General, Stéphane Dujarric stressed all involved to take immediate steps to de-escalate the situation and engage in inclusive dialogue to avoid further violence.
Meanwhile, in a statement, the Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation Hissein Ibrahim Taha also urged all parties to immediately stop violence and give priority to the higher national interest and safety of Iraqi people.
