Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has expressed deep sadness over the tragic ferry accident off Girne in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

In a post on X, he extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident.

Ishaq Dar said our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected, as well as the missing persons and their loved ones.

He said Pakistan stands in solidarity with the people of Türkiye and Northern Cyprus during this difficult hour.

Ishaq Dar prayed for the success of the ongoing search and rescue operations.
