Hundreds of Sikh activists have staged a demonstration outside the Golden Temple in Amritsar, demanding punishment for the killers of a Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Hardeep Singh Nijjar was allegedly killed by India's foreign intelligence service in Canada.

Holding posters of Nijjar, the protesters shouted slogans asking Indian government to stop extrajudicial operations against Sikhs seeking Punjab as an independent state.
