Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada stresses for necessary legislation, public awareness, and mandatory lab tests before marriage to prevent thalassemia.

He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Activity Room established for thalassemic children at the Sundas Foundation Thalassemia Centre in the F-9 Park, Islamabad today.

The Minister also unveiled an electric cart for the transportation of thalassemic children.

He also distributed gifts among the children suffering from Thalassemia.
