Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation on Monday with his Malaysian counterpart Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim to extend his warm wishes and greetings to him and the brotherly people of Malaysia on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Recalling the Malaysian Prime Minister’s visit to Pakistan last October, the Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction at the positive trajectory of bilateral ties and reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to further its strengthen bilateral cooperation with Malaysia.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim underscored the special significance attached by the Malaysian side to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s upcoming visit to Kuala Lumpur in May this year. He said that preparations were under way to ensure the success of the visit.

The Prime Minister thanked his Malaysian counterpart and said that he was looking forward to his visit and hoped that it would result in mutually beneficial outcomes for both sides. 

On the occasion, the Malaysian Prime Minister conveyed his Eid greetings to former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. The two leaders also spoke briefly on telephone and exchanged Eid greetings while conveying their good wishes to each other.
