Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has felicitated the newly-elected officials of the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA).

In a statement, he congratulated newly-elected Chairman Mian Amir Mahmood, Senior Vice Chairman Salman Iqbal, and Vice Chairman Mir Ibrahim Rehman, Secretary General Shakeel Masood, Joint Secretary Ahmed Zubairi, and Finance Secretary Athar Qazi.

Terming media as a significant pillar of the state, the information minister said free and dynamic media is vital for strengthening democracy and promoting democratic values in the country.

He expressed the confidence that the government remains committed to supporting the independence, growth, and development of media institutions.

Attaullah Tarar expressed hope that the newly-elected officials will fully utilize their capabilities to advance the media industry and contribute to its growth in the country.
