Aqeel Yousafzai (Expert on Afghan Affairs): The current developments in Afghanistan are not unexpected. A few hours ago Taliban spokesman said that Afghan Taliban were allowed to enter into Kabul. No resistance has been seen from the Afghan forces to stop Taliban outside Kabul. Dr. Abdullah Abdullah himself announced that Ashraf Ghani and his companions have left Kabul. Afghan Taliban have announced amnesty for common people in the country which is a good news. The Taliban and Afghan government officials were in negotiations for a peaceful transfer of power after Taliban encircled the capital Kabul. It is also uncertain whether Taliban constitute their own government or go for an inclusive Islamic government. A few days ago Washington also expressed concerns over advancement of Afghan Taliban. Any development in Afghanistan will have direct impact on Pakistan.
