Dr. Rasheed Ahmed Khan (IR Expert): We have to keep in mind that China is the most trustworthy friend of Pakistan. Chinese support to Pakistan has eliminated the US impression that China is not supporting Pakistan in rehabilitation of flood victims. The outcomes of the recent visit of the Prime Minister to China are very encouraging and constructive. The statements both from Beijing and Islamabad clearly indicate that both the countries are determined to extend the scope of cooperation in all fields of life. Both the countries have also agreed to extend the scope of China Pakistan Economic Corridor project. China has expressed willingness to support Pakistan in ML-1 and hydropower projects that will give a boost to the economy of the country.
