Dr. Hafiz Ikram (Secretary Islamic Ideology Council): The desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden, Denmark and some other countries saw a strong response in the Islamic world. Kuwait announced to publish translations of Holy Quran in Swedish and Danish languages to extend the message of Quran to wider audiences. The response of OIC is also appreciable in order to devise a collective strategy to stop the recurrence of such incidents in future. The reaction in Muslim countries against such acts is understandable. But, only showing anger will not solve this problem. We need to adopt the path of dialogue to convince the world about the sanctity of Holy Quran. The Western audience has a misunderstanding about the freedom of expression. The freedom of expression does not mean freedom to hurt others.
