Mumtaz Zahra Baloch (Spokesperson, Foreign Ministry):
The visit of Iranian Foreign Minister to Pakistan is an important development in the context of improving bilateral relations between both the countries. Today's meeting between the foreign ministers of both the countries is a step forward towards various economic and trade engagements. Both the countries have agreed to take concrete steps in this regard. Afghanistan is a common neighbor of Pakistan and Iran. All these countries are connected religiously, culturally and traditionally with each other. It is important for the regional progress and development to have peace and stability in Afghanistan. Pakistan and Iran are ready to work collectively to bring peace in the war-torn country and welfare of the Afghan people.
