The 'International Maritime Business and Finance Conference' held in Islamabad today was the first of its kind in Pakistan. It is a three day activity as one day has passed and an International Maritime Sustainability Exhibition in Karachi will be held in Karachi under the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. It is a great opportunity for Pakistan to project the efforts that Pakistan is making for sustainable maritime operation being conducted at our port. Pakistan has promised the maritime organization about the efforts in order to contribute in the digital transformation of maritime affairs that can enable Pakistan in step with the IMO revolutionary plans. Shipping industry in Pakistan is among the leading shipping industries in the world. Pakistan is committed to environmental protection and making its shipping industry as a green shipping industry. Pakistan is currently operating 12 ships so its contribution in carbon emission is very less.
