The interaction between Pakistan and Russia has increased in the last few months and the trade with Russia could be beneficial for the economy of the country. The visit of the Russian Deputy Prime Minister to Pakistan is of great importance. He held important meetings with the Prime Minister and President of Pakistan and other officials as well. Russia is among one of most the powerful countries at world level and has great influence in Central Asia and the Middle East. Russia has always expressed willingness to support Pakistan in order to deal with the economic challenges. It is time that both the countries must revive the gas pipeline project. There is a need to get out of the international pressure to get maximum advantage of trade with Russia. Both countries could cooperate each other in diverse areas of shared interest, especially trade, investment, energy, IT, agriculture, science and technology and education.
