Malaysia is an important Islamic country and shares lot of values and culture with Pakistan. Malaysia is the country that brought itself out of the economic crisis. Malaysia is a big market for Pakistani rice whereas Malaysia is a big producer of palm oil. The foreign policy of Pakistan is focused on to strengthen bilateral and trade relations with other countries particularly the Muslim countries. It is good development that the incumbent government is looking for new markets of trade and modern technology. The Malaysian Prime Minister is accompanying a high level delegation and many agreements are expected to be signed between the two countries. These agreements will definitely include Malaysian investment in different sectors. There is a huge potential of trade between the countries and both countries need to take advantage of it. Pakistan has a youth bulge and Malaysia can support Pakistan in technology transformation.
