Waheed Ahmed (Former Ambassador): The United States has vetoed a resolution at the UNSC demanding an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. It was expected as the United States is supporting Israeli aggression on innocent Palestinians. Meanwhile, Israel will not go for the ceasefire until there is a tangible solution to its security. The newly elected US President Donald Trump in his election campaign stated that he will try to end all sorts of war currently going on. Unfortunately, till the date, nearly 44,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli bombardment of Gaza, which has also plunged the coastal territory into a humanitarian crisis. The so-called human rights organizations are adopting a criminal silence on whatsoever is happening in Gaza and against innocent Palestinians. There is only the two-nation theory for the prevailing situation at Gaza strip.
