Radio Report on Qaqlasht Spring Festival 

Qaqlasth Festival is the old-age festival of the people of upper Chitral with a history of more than 2,000 years. It falls in calendar events and is celebrated in the last week of April every year at Qaqlasth 78 KM far from town Chitral.The festival featured a number of sports and games such as polo, football, cricket, tug of war and volleyball. Local artists also perform and enthrall the spectators.

 When early spring sweeps through the valley, this Plateau type of plain transforms into a gorgeous picnic resort with a carpet grassy and tiny yellow flowers stretched miles and miles that attracts a great number of people from different parts of the district and other parts of the country.
