The Supreme Court has ordered election for the slot of Punjab Chief Minister on 22nd of this month.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the case. Other members of the bench included Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Jamal Khan Mando Khel.
Earlier, the PTI had filed a plea in the apex court seeking the annulment of the Lahore High Court's decision that had ordered the Governor Punjab to hold re-counting for the Punjab Chief Minister's slot today at 4 pm.
