A three-day Shandur Polo Festival began in Scenic valley of Shandur on Friday.

Secretary Tourism department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Tahir Orakzai inaugurated the festival.

In the opening match, Laspur Chitral defeated Ghizer Gilgit-Baltistan team by 14 goals to 4.

Different colorful programs including paragliding, food stalls, music programs and traditional dances are also part of the event.

Foreign and local tourists from across the country have reached Shandur valley to witness the festival.

A special tent village has also been set up to facilitate local and foreign tourists.
