Political and military leadership of Azerbaijan has vowed to enhance cooperation with Pakistan and Armed Forces of the two countries to a new level.

An understanding to this effect came during meetings of Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir with President of Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Defense Minister, 1st Deputy Minister and Chief of General Staff and Commander of Azerbaijan Air Force in Baku.

The COAS is on an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The visit is aimed at enhancing military to military cooperation and defence collaboration between the two brotherly countries.

During the meetings, the COAS emphasized on enhancing cooperation in the fields of defence and training.

The COAS appreciated the high morale and remarkable standard of operational readiness of Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

During visit to the General Staff Headquarters, the COAS was warmly welcomed and presented with the Guard of Honour. The COAS also laid floral wreath at Alley of Martyrs at Baku.
