Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Odilovich Saidov.

Ishaq Dar congratulated Uzbekistan on assuming the Chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of Government for 2026-2027 and assured Uzbekistan of Pakistan's full support and assistance.

Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, in turn, expressed Uzbekistan's support for Pakistan as it has assumed the Chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of State for 2026-2027.

The two Ministers discussed the dates and preparations for the upcoming SCO Council of Heads of State Summit 2027, as well as the SCO calendar of activities.

Exchanging views on regional developments, the Uzbekistan Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan's sustained efforts for promoting regional peace and security.

Both Ministers exchanged greetings for the leadership of their respective countries and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.
