APHC renews pledge to continue struggle for Kashmiris Right to Self-determination
January 02, 2025

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called for observing Right to Self-Determination Day on Sunday.

In a statement, the APHC has renewed its pledge to continue struggle for Kashmiri people's inalienable right to self-determination as enshrined in UN resolutions.

The APHC spokesman appealed to the international community, particularly the United Nations, to honor its commitment to hold plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir.

January 5th holds significance since 1949, when the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution supporting the Kashmiris’ right to decide their future by themselves.

The day will be marked with rallies, seminars, and conferences globally to remind the UN of its responsibility to implement its resolutions, resolve the Kashmir dispute, and alleviate the suffering of Kashmiris under Indian oppression for over seven decades.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has expressed optimism that 2025 will bring peace and liberation to occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine.

In a statement, the Party's Acting Chairman Mahmood Ahmed Saghar called for international action against ongoing oppression in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine.
