In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, People’s Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti has said that the Waqf Amendment bill is designed to disempower Muslims.

The Waqf (Amendement) Bill, 2024 has been tabled by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government in Lok Sabha.

In her reaction, she said that the Muslims in India are facing persecution, targeted lynching incidents, and encroachments on graveyards.
