The United States is sending fighter jets to the United Arab Emirates after Houthi rebels launched a missile attack on the Gulf state.                              

This was stated by US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in a telephonic conversation with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

He said the US guided missile destroyer-USS Cole will partner with the UAE navy to assist against the Houthis threat.
