The 9th death anniversary of renowned Urdu author Intizar Hussain was observed today [Sunday].  

Intizar Hussain was born in India in 1925.

He gained wide recognition through his novels, poetry and short stories.              

He was decorated with several national and international awards including Sitara-e-Imtiaz from the government of Pakistan.                    

He died on this day in Lahore in 2016.
