Foreign ministers of Arab States have stressed the priority of ending the Syrian crisis through a political solution that preserves its unity, cohesion and sovereignty.

The understanding was reached during a meeting of Foreign ministers of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt and Syria in Jordan's capital Amman. During the meeting, they discussed a political solution to Syria's humanitarian, security and political crises.

The participants were of the view that political solution should contribute to the voluntary and safe return of refugees, the departure of illegal foreign forces from Syria and restoration of the country's security and stability.
