APHC stresses Kashmir settlement through dialogue
June 02, 2024

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has reiterated its stance on resolving the Kashmir dispute through peaceful dialogue, emphasizing that war is not a viable solution.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Kashmir dispute is main cause of tension between Pakistan and India.

He urged the leadership of the two countries to act wisely and work towards a better future for the people of South Asia.

Meanwhile, India is going to deploy 500 additional companies of its paramilitary forces in the occupied territory in the garb of the upcoming Amarnath yatra.

The annual pilgrimage will start on June 29 and conclude on August 19, lasting 52 days.

Every year, India brings additional troops to the occupied territory in the name of security for yatris, and only a portion of them return, while majority is deployed in Kashmir to suppress the freedom voices.

In another development, Indian troops launched search operations in Samba, Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu region.
