In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that India continues to unlawfully detain over 3,000 Kashmiris, including Hurriyat leaders, and is prolonging their incarceration through politically motivated tactics.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said New Delhi is using notorious investigative agencies to victimize Kashmiris for their political beliefs.

He lauded the steadfastness of jailed Hurriyat leaders, activists, and other detainees, saying India has failed to break their resolve despite relentless repression.

Meanwhile, the massive cordon and search operation by Indian forces in the Dorimal and Gambhir Mughlan forest areas of Rajouri district entered its 41st consecutive day today.

Thousands of Indian troops, backed by helicopters, drones, and sniffer dogs, continue to take part in the operation. Residents said troops are raiding nearby homes and harassing civilians, including women and children.

Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti, speaking to reporters in Srinagar, said the BJP has achieved nothing by revoking IIOJK's special status.

She described the occupied territory as an open-air prison where people are deprived of their right to freedom of expression, adding that Kashmiris continue to suffer from political discontent and feel increasingly helpless and alienated.
