The Pakistan Army has launched a pilot project in the Zarmalan area of South Waziristan to irrigate the barren lands.
In this regard, a total of one-thousand acres of land will be irrigated in the first phase of the project, after which the rest of the forty-four thousand acres of land will be covered in the same project.
The project, being executed under the supervision of Special Investment Facilitation Council, will improve the economic condition of the local farmers and help reduce the food scarcity.
