The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has decided to allow uninterrupted gas supply for fertilizers industry to ensure sufficient production of urea to meet demand of Rabi crop.

The approval was accorded during the meeting of the ECC,  chaired by Minister for Finance, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar in Islamabad. 

A summary submitted by the Ministry of Energy regarding measures to meet requirement of Urea fertilizer for Rabbi Season 2023-24 was considered by the forum.

The Committee also gave consent for the proposed amendments in PCT codes in the IPO 2022 and EPO 2022.
