Two-day First Aid Training commences in Lahore

A two-day First Aid Training titled First Aid with CPR Training workshop for journalists began in Lahore on Monday to equip themselves with basic life-saving techniques and skills.

Workshop was organized under auspices of Pakistan Red Crescent Provincial Punjab Office to assure a proactive provision of first aid to victims during natural and man-made disasters.

The main objective of First Aid Training is to Save Help, Prevent from Future Damage and Promote Rescues.

Journalists belonging to different media houses attended first day of first aid training course to equip them with basic life-saving techniques and skills.

About thirty journalists from different media house attend training session.

Participants received information on key relevant topics, including Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Choking; Fractures, Shock, Bandages and Heart Attack during training session.

Practical session was also held about how to handle if a person chocked and in unconscious condition.

The training was facilitated by First Aid Trainer Muhammad Imran and was held under the PRCS Media and Communication Department officer Ali Raza Mukhtar.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that this First Aid Training is too much important for Journalist community as whenever any incident took place in any area media personnel were said to initially reach the spot and could provide first aid to victims.

Spokesman of PRC Punjab Provincial Office Ali Raza Mukhtar said that said that holding first aid training for journalists was the need of the hour. He claimed that this training trained journalists and enables them that they could save the lives of victims by providing first aid on the spot.
