Culprits involved in violent PTI protest will be held accountable: DPO Attock

District Police Officer Attock Dr. Ghias Gul says the culprits involved in the violent PTI protest will be brought to justice.

Addressing a news conference in Rawalpindi on Monday, he said the Attock Police arrested seven hundred violent protestors and identity of eighty-nine is being ascertained.

He said police recovered tear gas shells, masks, batons and weapons from the fleeing protestors.

The DPO Attock said there were trained individuals among the protestors, who resorted to firing and other acts of violence against the police.

He said one hundred and forty-seven police personnel were injured in the recent PTI protest, while twenty-five of them are in critical condition.

Dr Ghias Gul said Punjab police demonstrated utmost restraint and no protestor were injured. He said protection of people's lives and property is the top priority of the police.
