Director General Radio Pakistan Muhammad Asim Khichi has said Radio Pakistan will continue playing its role in boosting agriculture sector in the country.

He was speaking in a newly launched Radio Pakistan program titled "Zarkhez Pakistan".

He said majority of the population lives in rural areas, and they will be informed about new agriculture technologies by Radio Pakistan.

Speaking in the programme, Chairman Pakistan Agricultural Research Council Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali says the government has been taking various steps to give boost to agriculture sector.

The program will be broadcast daily from Monday to Friday at 2:05 p.m on national hookup.

Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali said farmers need to be provided maximum information about the crop yield and production techniques.

The Chairman said Pakistan is an agricultural country having 16 different ecologies.
