Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeez Ur Rehman has said that Headquarters of Special Protection Unit in Police Department would be established in Gilgit soon.

Presiding over a meeting of Special Protection Unit and Safe City Project, he said government will provide modern telecommunication equipment and arms to the newly established Special Protection Unit for effective security of CPEC related mega projects in Gilgit Baltistan.

He said provincial government has approved Safe City Project to all district Headquarters of Gilgit Baltistan under which CCTV cameras would be installed for monitoring purpose.
