The United Nations officials have called for a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza saying Palestinians are at grave risk of genocide.

The outgoing senior UN Human Rights official, Craig Mokhiber wrote to High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk that we are seeing a genocide unfolding before our eyes and the UN appears powerless to stop it.

Meanwhile, Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights Pedro Arrojo Agudo said we are using the term genocide because Israeli aggression is absolutely indiscriminate.
