Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Alisher Tukhtaev says his country is keen to bolster trade with Pakistan to one billion dollars.

Speaking at a meeting at Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said bilateral trade has been progressing well with mutual trade between the two countries has increased from one hundred twenty-two million dollars in 2019 to three hundred and eighty-seven million dollars in 2023.

Referring to the commencement of direct flights between Tashkent and Lahore, the Uzbek Ambassador emphasized the need of soft visa regime for Pakistani citizens.
