Canada has enlisted India in "Cyber Threat" list.
According to National Cyber Threat Assessment Report 2025-2026 released by the Center for Cyber Security Canada, Modi regime's interference in the affairs of other states has been fully exposed and New Delhi is targeting its opponents through cyber technology.
The report says India is using cyber capabilities against Canadian citizens which pose a serious threat to Canada's national security.
The report pointed out that a pro-Indian hacktivist group has been involved in cyber-attacks and espionage activities on Canadian websites, including Canadian Armed Forces websites.
The Chief of the Communications Security Establishment Canada, Caroline Xavier, in a statement, said India is being seen as a new cyber threat.
She said Indian government is using cyber technology for monitoring and spying the political activists and dissidents living abroad.
The National Cyber Threat Assessment Report is a new episode in the India-Canada diplomatic tensions.
Caroline Xavier's statement came after Canada's Deputy Foreign Minister David Morrison accused Indian Home Minister Amit Shah of planning violence against Sikhs.
Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had stated, in a statement, that Canada had reliable evidence of Indian government's involvement in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Canada had also expelled six Indian diplomats for their involvement in activities to suppress Sikh separatist movements in early October.
