A M Shahid (Former Diplomat):Pakistan-UK Counter Terrorism Dialogue is of immense importance and significance especially in the wake of ongoing hostilities from India and Afghanistan in the worst form of terrorism towards Pakistan At this dialogue, both Pakistan and the United Kingdom exchanged their notes on the issue of countering terrorism. Both sides also reaffirmed commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and shared best practices with each other on countering terrorism. Both sides also expressed strong resolve to cement the existing cooperation to counter fake narrative through modern technical tools like AI and IT. UK wants to hand some wanted people to Pakistan. UK has advanced IT and AI expertise with enormous resources to counter terrorism therefore UK shared its knowledge with Pakistani delegation. I think that both sides can support each other on this issue so hopefully both the countries will win war on terrorism. Unfortunately, several intelligence agencies are involved in promoting and financing terrorism in Pakistan; however, our brave and committed professional security forces are gaining dominance over the terrorists. Pakistan's neighours are also involved in financing and supporting terrorism in KP and Balohistan.
