France says several European countries are working on opening up a joint diplomatic mission in Afghanistan that would enable their ambassadors to return to the country.
Talking to media in Doha before heading to Saudi Arabia, the French President Emmanuel Macron said the United States and European countries have urged the interim government of Taliban to uphold the rights of girls and minorities.
Meanwhile, in a statement a French Foreign Ministry spokeswoman has said that France has evacuated more than 300 people from Afghanistan.
She said France and Qatar also jointly operated the humanitarian mission delivered medical equipment, food and winter supplies to Kabul.
On the other hand, the United Nations Development Programme has described an alarming socioeconomic outlook for Afghanistan for next 13 months.
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Jeddah on Saturday.
Upon his arrival at King Abdulaziz Airport, the French President was received by Advisor to the Saudi King Prince Khaled Al-Faisal and Governor of Makkah Region, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan and a number of senior officials.
