Punjab government has made fitness certificates mandatory for all government and private vehicles to control smog across the province.

Provincial Environment Protection Department has issued directives to secretaries of provincial ministries and commissioners to ensure compliance.

Meanwhile, provincial government has set 30th of next month as deadline for vehicle inspections.
