US President Donald Trump has expressed gratitude to Pakistan's government for assisting in the arrest of a key terrorist involved in the 2021 Kabul airport bombing. Addressing a joint session of Congress, he recalled that three and a half years ago, a terrorist killed thirteen American service members and countless others in the Abbey Gate bombing.

He said we have apprehended the top terrorist responsible for that atrocity. He also described it as a very huge day for the affected families.
