Pakistan and Iran have agreed to make joint efforts in promoting bilateral relations, enhancing trade, economic and political ties between the two countries.
This understanding was reached during a meeting of Iranian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Baqeri and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad today (Tuesday).
The meeting discussed bilateral relations, cooperation in diverse fields and overall evolving situation of Afghanistan.
Appreciating the continued Iranian support to Pakistan's position on Kashmir issue, the Foreign Minister termed the mutual cooperation on different issue at international forums as welcome sign.
He also urged the international community to take bold steps for financial assistance to Afghanistan to prevent human and economic crises in war-hit country.
