King of Comedy Amanullah Khan passed away on Friday.

He was admitted to a private hospital in Lahore and was battling with multiple medical conditions such as lungs, kidneys and breathing problems.

He has a world record of 860-day night theater plays. He had won the pride of performance award in 2018.

President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of renowned comedian Amanullah.

In their separate condolence messages, they commiserated with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.

They said Amanullah was an asset of stage and drama industry.
