The United Nations has called for an immediate end to violence in Sudan.
The call was made by UN Secretary-General António Guterres during meeting with President Evariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi in Bujumbura on the sidelines of summit of heads of state of the Regional Oversight Mechanism for Peace, Security and Cooperation in the African region.
The Secretary General commended Burundi for its progress in democratic governance and economic development.
