China has called for peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute under the UN Charter, United Nations Security Council resolutions and bilateral agreements.

A Chinese Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson during a media briefing in Beijing said China’s position on the Kashmir issue is consistent and clear.

He said as a common neighbour, China sincerely hopes that Pakistan and India would peacefully resolve the dispute through mutual dialogue, and work together to maintain peace and stability in South Asia.
