Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has directed ministries to focus on the adoption of emerging technology in order to transform Pakistan into a techno economy.

He was chairing a meeting about New Pakistan Country Partnership Framework of World Bank in Islamabad on Friday.

The World Bank’s strategy was developed considering Pakistan’s socio-economic issues and vision especially “5Es Framework to Turnaround Pakistan” in order to address key challenges and exploit opportunities.

Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal asserted relevant ministries to ensure that the strategy must reflect priorities that are aligned with development framework of the government.

He also directed the stakeholders to develop clearly laid out Key Performance Indicators so that the financing procured under the partnership is used effectively.
