The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has denounced India’s military approach on the Kashmir dispute saying that Kashmir is purely a political issue, which needs to be resolved through exercise of right to self-determination.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Abdul Rashid Minhas said the amalgam members in a meeting held in Srinagar said the precious sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiris for their inalienable right have created a magnificent history among contemporary revolutionary movements of the modern world.
They said a small population, besieged by over one million occupation forces of India is a grave matter which demands urgent attention and necessary legal action in the light of United Nations Security Council resolutions on Kashmir.
The meeting also expressed serious concern over the continued illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders, activists and journalists languishing in different jails of India and IIOJK urging their immediate release.
Meanwhile, the authorities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir placed All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest in Srinagar, today.
The authorities put him under house detention to prevent him from offering the obligatory Juma prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid.
On the other hand, Indian authorities have seized properties of four more Kashmiris in Baramulla, Shopian and Srinagar districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
These actions are part of an ongoing and intensifying campaign to seize properties from Kashmiris following the revocation of IIOJK’s special status in August 2019.
