In India, thousands of people have fled the northeastern state of Manipur amidst deadly ethnic clashes that entered fifth consecutive day on Sunday.
The clashes have claimed more than 54 lives so far while army was deployed and curfew imposed to control the situation.
The BJP-led government in the state is under severe criticism for its silence and inaction over the violence.
The violence began Wednesday at a rally by indigenous communities against moves to grant tribal status to a main ethnic group in the state.
