Pakistan says it looks forward to further promote cooperation with European Union in diverse fields
This was stated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while talking to President of the European Council Charles Michel in Egypt on the sidelines of COP-27 summit on Monday.
He said bilateral partnership between the EU and Pakistan has been an important means of achieving common interests in the past and we are eager to expand this cooperation further in future.
Appreciating EU's support to the flood victims in Pakistan, the Prime Minister said the devastating effects of climate change warrant unity of all countries across the world.
He also appreciated and thanked the cooperation of European Union in Pakistan's removal from FATF's grey list
On the occasion, the EU council President expressed sympathies and condolences over the loss of lives and properties in Pakistan due to floods.
Commending EU's efforts to combat the effects of climate change, the two sides agreed to reamin in close contact on issues of mutual interest.
