Prime Minister's Coordinator on Climate Change Romina Khurshid Alam has commended the role of business community in the promotion of green economy in the country.

She was addressing a meeting in connection with the inauguration of Green Road Initiative at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Rawalpindi today.

Highlighting the features of the project, the coordinator said this project is in line with the international standards.

She called upon public and private sectors to devise eco-friendly strategies to mitigate the adverse impact of the climate change.

Romina Khurshid Alam also stressed the need to create awareness about the rapidly changing weather patterns in the country as ensuring cleanliness is a collective responsibility.
